Phenomenal Customer Service!!!

Cody is my kind of plumber. He's more interested with assessing and identifying the problem than looking for ways to milk customers. He listened well during his visit and offered potential solutions to what may have been cause the intermittent sewer smell in the house. Without question, I would highly recommend Chen Plumbing and in particular, Cody! He's the man!

Fantastic Response

Incredible responsiveness on a Sunday night after 8pm.we came back from SC to a flooded kitchen, basement ceiling tile below saturated wirh water and several on the floor that had broken. Water dripping into the basement kitchen. Crawl space and rec room ' quite the fiasco! Mr Chen came, quickly diagnosed seversl.problems, got right to work, and helped us determine additional resources we would need. Problems were fixed, recommendations made fior more work to prevent the next disaster - all done courteously, patiently and professionally by someone we had never met. I had seen previous recommendations in a local FB group and it was all true. Highly recommended!

Fast Service!

Since I got the toilet replaced, I thought there would be more of a discussion on toilet height and efficiency so didn't get a much different one than I had so was disappointed in that. I also had to remind them to check for leaks as that was what the call was for originally. But replacing the toilet was quick.

We called out by the customer due to a significantly increased water bill following a previous repair we had completed on their line after a thorough investigation. We confirmed that the prior repair we made was intact and not leaking. However, the customer reported that their water bill has spiked from about $30 a month to $200 suggesting a separate leak else around the system. We informed the customer of the situation and provided them with two options moving forward first to have a leak detection specialist which is the homeowners responsibility to arrange or second to consider a full line replacement needed the customer acknowledge the options will decide on the next steps at their convenience.

Customer stated that there was a leak under kitchen sink and also spray on dishwasher supply line. Stated to customer that drain under kitchen sink wasn’t installed properly. Recommended to customer to rework under kitchen sink and also install new service valve and water supply line for dishwasher. Customer agreed. Cut hole in back of cabinet underneath kitchen sink to access 2 inch kitchen drain line. Reworked and reconnected back under sink. Tested and no leaks were present at this time and everything was draining as it should. Shut water off to home and replace service valve for dishwasher and supply line. Turned water back on and tested, and no leaks were present at this time. Cleaned up work area.

Customer stated that we were out previously to look at stain on ceiling. Customer stated that stain on ceiling got bigger. Recommended customer to cut open ceiling and run fixtures upstairs in master bath to attempt to find where the leak is coming from. Cut hole in ceiling and ran shower for about 20 minutes and didn’t notice any leaking. Also filled up shower pan and didn’t notice any leaking. Stated to customer that at this time don’t think leak is related to plumbing. Also recommended to keep ceiling open to see if leak will come back when someone is taking shower. Also stated that Chen plumbing is not responsible for sheet rock repair. Cleaned up work area.

Customers washing machine drain needs to be replaced due to machine pulling back dirt. Will set up to return tomorrow to continue full work. Returned the following day to cut out concrete (3’x3’) in order to redirect line. Found line from ptrap to be broken due to aging and abandoned line in slab, reroute washing machine box to stack next to back door. Repaired small section in bathroom floor which was full of grease, which indicated line was full of grease back to stack next to back door. Cut out section of stack and included new 3” test tee and tie in to washing machine box. Used jetting equipment to jet line all the way to the tie in to the main to remove grease from line. After jetting, ran camera to check quality of jetting work but later found pipe partial collapse right where line ties into main line. Customer has functioning system as of now but will need to further address the piping collapse in line. Put back dirt in bathroom but have not put back concrete due to further work

Homeowner stated that her first floor toilet located on hallway entrance would run continuously and shut off the angle stop until we arrived. Upon arrival I knocked and homeowner answered and explained what the issue was and showed me the toilet and the angle stop handle had broken which she also told me about. I then did my inspection and didn’t find anything else wrong and talked to homeowner about some solutions. She opted to simply just replace the angle stop for now and would take some time to see what she wants to do. I began by shutting off the water and draining the home and them removed the old angle stop and escutcheon. Once the pipe was prepared I installed a new compression angle stop and new supply line for toilet as well as a new escutcheon. I turned on the water and it works properly no leaks or issues and homeowner is satisfied with the service provided.

Customer had a garbage disposal that was leaking from the bottom. Gave customer pros and cons of replacing the disposal vs eliminating the disposal. Customer opted to remove the disposal and add a sink strainer. Made customer aware that we would put wire nuts on the old electrical, but an electrician should come behind us to properly remove the line. Tested all work to ensure proper function and no leaks.
